    I have a Toshiba laptop L755-S5153 and BounceBack v20 installed. When I upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11 the BounceBack copy engine was unable to load. I discovered that there is some sort of conflict with the CD/DVD drive because if I disable the CD/DVD drive, BounceBack works perfectly. However, I cannot use the CD drive. In Device Manager the Properties of the disabled CD drive under Device status reads: "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information in the registry is incomplete or damaged. Code 19." I have tried the various fixes I read online,

    CD/DVD drive is not correctly displayed

    All the resolutions listed under Method 1 apply to the cases when CD/DVD drive is not recognized by Windows or other programs. Fortunately, my drive is recognized by Windows and other programs. I tried all the step-by-step resolutions listed, but did not
    work. For some reason, my CD/DVD drive icon is not the right icon for the drive, and is for compact flash. Any idea?

    I also reset my BIOS settings back to factory reset, but it did not help.
