  1. How do I get more granular control over the function of Windows Defender?

An online associate who I have interacted with occasionally for multiple years sent me a ZIP file on Discord for a complex and presumably legitimate purpose, wherein they had been developing a .NET application to help with editing text files for obscure video game modding. I was using Discord's web version, from a standard web browser at the time, and not from a standalone Discord app. As such, this ZIP file was downloaded via the standard web browser download procedure into the Downloads folder on Windows. Then, Windows Defender determined that the .NET application this user had developed was

  2. Granular Update Control

I appreciate the effort but this not what I mean. I should have granular control of updates like in windows 8 and windows 7 even. Further what about the security problem with regedit. Certainly there should not be part of the registry that I can't edit?
how can I fix windows so I have my admin rights back?

  3. Windows update and windows defender issues

We suggest you to avoid installing any cleaner or anti-virus software that may interrupt the function of Windows Defender. Make sure that Windows Defender is always on. To do this follow these steps:

    • On the Start menu, type Windows Defender and hit enter.
    • Click Settings.
    • Turn Real-time protection on.
We also recommend you to install the latest update for Windows Defender.

Should you have further questions, feel free to get back to us.

How do I get more granular control over the function of Windows Defender?

Music Player on the N95 - Volume Control Granularity

Is there any way to change the granularity of the volume control. It increments in 10s, any way to change it to increment in 5's?

80 is too soft, and 90 is too loud.

    Thanks,

    Tom
