    How do I get my backlights for my keyboard to stay on after Windows 10 update...ever since the update yesterday 12-21-20108, Windows 10 update changed many of my settings. The entire appearance of everything looks different. I don't like it. I had no sound and my son fixed that. Now my keyboard backlights won't stay on. They come on for a few seconds when the computer boots up but now they won't stay on. We have spent hours on these problems and only have been able to fix the sound. Nothing we have read to do works. I am so sick of this. Now I have to use a password to use my computer. I have reset this every time there is an update. Why??????

    Lenovo keyboard backlight Windows 10

    The problem isn't the keyboard backlight, it's the backlight icon staying on the screen. My Lenovo laptop does not have the backlight option. Whenever the computer is woken up from sleep mode, the keyboard backlight icon comes and sits stays on unless
    I reboot the computer. Very annoying!

    Can't find the setting to turn off keyboard backlight

    Sarah,

    • lacrumb is correct, keyboard backlighting is controlled by utilities put on your computer by the computer maker.
    • Keyboard backlighting only appears in Windows mobility centre if the computer maker has put it there.

    I suggest

    • Checking through your Start menu looking for a computer maker's utility,
    • Reading the computer manual,
    • Searching the computer maker's website
    • Searching any user forums for your computer model
    • Installing all hardware updates & BIOS updates provided on the computer maker's website

    Keyboard Backlight

    Hi,

    I have a Dell Inspiron 1500 5000 Series laptop, Windows 10.

    I would like to toggle my backlight keyboard. I see it on my keyboard, and in the Windows Mobility Center, but I would like to increase the duration. Currently, my keyboard stays lit for 60 seconds. I would like it to not turn off at all.

    Can I turn off the backlight timer? Can I chose to keep it on for more than 60 seconds?
