    How do I get my Desktop Icons back, and get rid of this horizontal white bar where my icons...


    Desktop Icons have been replaced by a transparent, horizontal bar, and are stacked on top of each other. I can't see the icons anymore, but they are not off scsreen. You can click on the white bar and pull up a folder that is on desktop, or recycling bin. I cannot get that horizontal bar to go away, and cannot get my icons to show up on the desktop. I cannot add new icons without the Horizontal bar sucking them up and stacking them in the void, with my other icons. Heres a screenshot of What I am talking about. You'll notice I put hovered the mouse over a folder, that contains several files. M

    Remove Linux Desktop Icons

    I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.

    Does anyone know how to align icons on desktop horizontally/top/bottom in Win 7 ? Or can it *Confused How do I get my Desktop Icons back, and get rid of this horizontal white bar where my icons... :confused:

    How do I get my Desktop Icons back, and get rid of this horizontal white bar where my icons...

    Removing desktop icons

    the icons are located in 'all users' folder somewhere (for example, i see a few shared icons in "C:\Users\Public\Desktop" )

    The only way to fix those, is to remove the icons from there, and place them on to each users desktops manually. an admin may need to do this.
