How do I get my Microsoft Surface Laptop to accept a scan from my HP Officejet Pro 8600

HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus

We have just downloaded Windows 10 on our HP Pavilion g7 Notebook and have been unable to connect and print with our HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus.

Any suggestions.

HP Scan for HP Officejet Pro 8600

I am using an HP Officejet Pro 8600 and it is working perfectly in gray scale with HP Scan and Capture. The minute I try to scan a document in color, it comes up with colorful lines running up and down the scanned page. It doesn't matter if I use the
document feeder or the flatbed. I get the same thing. I get the same thing if I try to scan a photo in color too. How do I fix this?

 

how to enable scan to computer HP Officejet Pro 8600

have established internet connection to between Windows 10 64bit and printer device

where do I set this up from the?

1. Printer device screen

2. In windows

3. From printer icon on desktop ("C:\Program Files\HP\HP Officejet Pro 8600\Bin\HP Officejet Pro 8600.exe" -Start UDCDevicePage)

4. Or do I need additional app from HP to initiate the change?

I cannot find, "Scanner Actions"
