  1. How do I get my TV to "properly" display 4K resolution for my PC?

Strange question, but let me explain:

I recently bought a 4K TV and after some strange process updating drivers and fiddling with settings - I forgot I got it to display at 4K. HOWEVER, it's not optimal. I have a 4K video file on a flashdrive that I watched both via my PC using different players and then directly via the TV with its USB slot. It's not night and day, but there's very much a noticeable difference and I don't know how to fix it. I'm using a 2.0 HDMI, so it should handle whatever it is properly. And I'm not super concerned with games for now. At the very least, desktop and watching videos.

    For reference:

-My TV is TCL - 43" Class 5 Series LED 4K UHD Smart Roku TV

-Here's a screencap of screen info from a couple menus. I have the text size at 200% because that's how everything looked in 1080p: https://imgur.com/a/8XBLn2W

*if this is in the wrong part of the forum, I apologise. I can't tell what the best would be with the options available

    :)

  2. Does Films and TV Stream 4K on Windows 10 PC?

I have Windows 10 connected to a OLED 65" 4K TV. Windows is running at 4k resolution. I bought a movie in UHD format but the description of the movie says you need an Xbox One S or X. Will 4K also stream and display in 4K resolution in Windows 10
on a PC connected to a 4K display or is it only 1080p with upscaling? I can't find any shortcuts or settings to display the bitrate/resolution the video is playing at.

    Thanks,

    Dave

Windows wont display 4k and HDR simultaneously.

I recently got a 4k HDR tv (Samsung UE43NU7100). I connect my PC with a normal HD monitor and the 4k HDR tv. When turning on HDR on my tv the resolution of the 4k tv (3840x2160) gets set back to normal HD (1920x1080) in windows settings. Windows is completely
updated, my AMD Radeon R9 390 8gb graphics card is up to date and supports and displays in 4k when HDR is off. My Xbox one X displays both 4k and HDR perfectly simultaneously. I use a high speed HDMI 2.0 cable. I have no idea why my pc does this and cant find
anything about windows not being able to do 4k and HDR at the same time. It also doesn't work if I only connect the tv instead of the monitor and tv. Any suggestion?

  4. How do I get my TV to "properly" display 4K resolution for my PC?

    4k tv resolution issue

I don't see any place to select a resolution. There's no PC slot as there was on my old tv. There isn't even an option to tell the tv it's hooked to a PC. I'm running an HDMI to Display port on this particular tv.
