Windows 10: How do I get my wired headphones/earbuds connected properly without a jack mic showing up?

Whenever I try to connect my wired headphones to my computer only a jack mic shows up. I have tried one pair of headphones and one pair of earbuds and neither have worked. My computer is on Windows 11 and the model is a Dell Inspiron 7506 2n1. I have tried many ways to get them connected, but nothing has worked. Even when I go to the input and output setting the headphones don't show up, only the jack mic. I have tried going to the device manager and updating the drivers and that didn't work because only the jack mic showed up. I tried clicking on the sound and going into playback. That didn't

Headphone mic not working with laptop 3.5mm port

I have sennheiser hd4.40 wireless headphone. I also got a cable with headphone having 2.5mm pin(attached to headphone) to 3.5mm pin(attached to mobile phone).

Problem is that when i connect 3.5mm pin to my mobile phone headphone jack, in call i am able to use mic and headphone both at same time but:

1. When i connect the 3.5mm pin to 3.5mm jack for mic on my laptop, i am not able to use the mic.(my laptop has separate 3.5mm mic and 3.5mm headphone jack)
   
2. When i connect to 3.5mm jack for headphone, only headphone is working with laptop not mic.
   

Please do not suggest why I am not using Bluetooth because it is a separate problem.

I am missing something or maybe this may be limitation or something else. Help me on this. :-(

 

Headphones with a mic

mostly music and i got to have it work with my phone, a 3.5 mm jack, and earbuds too cause i want the mic on the wire ive seen those around but idaont know anything about earbuds

 

Windows 10 not detecting mic on earbuds

I'm trying to use the mic on my earbuds for skype. I plugged them into my headphone jack, it says there is no mic plugged in. I tried plugging them into the mic jack, still nothing. I tried every jack on my PC it still doesn't pick up sound. How can I
make the mic on my ear buds work
