Windows 10: How do I get past Error 0x80004005

Hello everyone,

I am at the verge of pulling my hair from frustration caused by error 0x80004005, Virtual Machines cannot function kept saying

VT-x is not available (VERR_VMX_NO_VMX).

VT-x is enabled by default in BIOS. VirtualBox was working just fine until 17 days ago, I have tried all I can to no avail. any ideas will be highly appreciated. I have tried system restore, it could not go further than a point because there was ERROR 0X80004005. I called support they did what they did remotely, i think they disabled Hyperlink and relaunched it, yet the error persisted.

I have looked over many other posts about this, all with the same error code, but with a different problem.

I have a computer thats a few years old, it has an ABIT kn8-sli motherboard, and its running off windows XP.

I was having problem with the hard drive before I gave up on it awhile back, and now I have come back and resolved that problem, but now when I get to the login screen and type in the password it says its in need of an update, then when it asks me if I want to update I click Yes, and then it says it won't work due to error 0x80004005.

The only operating system I have currently is windows 7. Do I need to go buy a new OS or is this recoverable?
