Windows 10: How do I get rid of this extra keyboard layout for good?

This extra keyboard layout keeps coming back however many times I delete it.As you can see in the screenshot, I have 3 languages installed EN, PT and GE. For some unknown reason, the EN keyboard keeps doubling up and downloading an extra layout. If I remove the "international" layout and leave the "US" one, the former comes back after a couple of hours. And if I do the opposite, the "US" keyboard comes back too.I have already tried the method mentioned elsewhere of installing the undesired layout and then removing it. While it does work, the effect "wears off" after a couple of hours and the

This suggests to me that you are using the wrong "keyboard language" for your keyboard, and that therefore you first step would be to determine exactly what language keyboard you have. Possibly have a look at Windows Keyboard Layouts - Globalization | Microsoft Docs.

(The age of any laptop capable of running Windows 10 at all should not be a problem as regards keyboard layout)

 

Extra keyboard layouts have appeared that I can't get rid of

Recently, perhaps since the update to Windows 10 Creator edition, I have two additional keyboard layouts which I do not want, but I can't get rid of. Before this I had just two languages and layouts -- UK English with (from a third party) the US International
AltGr Dead Keys layout, and Belgian French with the Canadian multilingual layout. Now I also have UK English with a UK keyboard and US English with the basic US keyboard. This makes it very difficult to switch between layouts since I don't know which version
of English I have switched to.

However when I go into the region and language settings, only the original two layouts are listed. The other two are missing, which means that I can't get rid of them. What do I need to do?

The updated Windows 10 may have detected your language, the reason why it automatically gave you the other Thai US keyboard. To correct this issue, we suggest that you follow these steps:

• Click on the Start Menu, type in region and language settings and select it.
• Under Languages, select Thai Kedmanee keyboard and click Remove.
• Lastly, add it back by clicking Add a language.

After these steps, your keyboard layout will permanently stay with Thai Kedmanee keyboard.
