Windows 10: How do I get rid of this password during start-up before the Windows login?

Hello everyone!I'm wanting to give away my laptop/tablet, but it has a password dialogue box that appears before reaching the Windows login page see picture. I know the password, but it is inappropriate and I'd rather not pass that along to someone else. I'd like to just get rid of this password requirement. Unfortunately it does not go away with a factory reset. Does anyone know what this is and how I can get rid of it?

Password issue

After going through the steps to make a new password, after a week or two, my login credentials are no longer valid. I'm forced to make a new password all over again. It seems to happen if I don't login in a certain period of time. Does our passwords expire???

 

Getting rid of password log-in on Windows 10

I have tried all the above but still I am prompted to enter password when I switch on my computer. Please advise how to get rid of login password when switching on the computer.

So I have Windows 10 and want to get rid of the password protected login feature. I found some steps on this site which are vaguely "On your windows 10 Start menu window, right click at the Win logo > select Run option > in the Run box type netplwiz > OK > follow the prompts.
Restart Win 10."

Did that. On restart, I didn't need a password. Naturally, I thought the problem was solved. Nope. When the computer goes to sleep, I need to enter a password to re-open it; when it is turned off or restarted, I don't need a password.

Anyone know what I did wrong?
