Windows 10: How do I get SVG files to open in my Cricut Program in Windows 11?

All the SVG files I have want to open with Microsoft Edge. I want to change the program to Cricut Design Space. I have looked for the Cricut app but it won't show up when I search for it. I just downloaded Windows 11 and I haven't learned all the new things that can be and can't be done with this software.

Hi Johnnie,

Right click an svg file, choose Open With - Choose Another App

At the bottom of the resulting menu, check the box marked, 'Always use this app to open .svg files'

Look for cricut in the list of apps, if it is there, choose that

If it is not there, scroll to the bottom and choose More Apps

If you still cannot find cricut, scroll to the bottom and choose 'Look for another App on this PC'

Locate the cricut program in either C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86)

Then click OK

That will reset the file association on svg files . . .

I am Aster, an Independent Advisor and I'm here to help you with your problem.

May I know if you have tried the following?

1. right-click on your SVG file and select Open With > Choose another app

2. in the pop-up, firstly check the Always use this app to open .svg files checkbox

3. then in the list of apps, look for your Cricut Design Studio application and select it. If it is not in the list, click on More apps or Look for another app on this PC

and select Cricut Design Studio from where it was installed

4. now try to open a .svg file and it should open using the Cricut Design Studio application
