Windows 10: how do i get teams to aceess my pc camera for video calls

I have teams version 24180.205.2980.1757. and am unable to get my camera to work in video calls. The light by t he camera on my PC is litup but no image is captured.

2. Close Other Apps and Restart:
   
   • Close any other apps that might be using your camera (like Skype or FaceTime).
     
   • If you’re using an external camera, unplug it and plug it back in.
     
   • Restart your device; sometimes a simple reboot can resolve camera issues.
     
3. Make a Test Call:
   
   • Open Teams, click your profile picture, and go to Settings > Devices.
     
   • Under Audio Settings, select Make a test call.
     
   • Follow the instructions from Test Call Bot to check if your mic, speaker, and camera are working.
     
4. Check App Permissions:
   
   • On Windows, open Settings > Privacy & security > Camera.
     
   • Turn on Let apps access your camera and ensure Microsoft Teams (work or school) is allowed.
     
   • If already enabled, toggle it off and back on.
     
   • Restart your device after making changes.
     
5. Update Drivers:
   
   • If using an external webcam or if your camera isn’t working in Windows 10, check your drivers.

Video-Call/Meeting Error - Microsoft Teams.

Hi. I work as an IT-support for a company and we have a couple of cases involving a Camera not working in Video-call and meetings in Microsoft Teams. The user can see themselves but the other people in the call cant. The built in Camera is in perfect shape
and works on other platforms. Any ideas on a fix?

 

Using External Webcam for calling video by teams on tablet Surface Pro 7

Microsoft Modern Webcam can be used as external webcam on PC for calling video by MS Teams.

I would like to ask more information:

- Can I use Microsoft Modern Webcam as external webcam on Tablet Surface Pro 7 like on PC in a Teams meeting or call?

- If yes. Can I use External Webcam such as Logitech, HIKVISION as external webcam instead of Microsoft Modern Webcam on Tablet Surface Pro 7?

We are going to use Tablet Surface Pro 7 to call video via Zoom, MS team. But we want to use external camera to enhance the video quality more.
