Windows 10: How do I get the product key for the Microsoft OS that I purchased on the Microsoft Store?

So, I have order # 9037126795. I ordered Microsoft OS 10. I get the status of "complete." The charge was on my credit card, but I've never received the product, neither electronically nor by mail. I need the product key so I can register the product, I've already downloaded the product on my desktop. How do I get the product key for the OS that I purchased?

Cannot activate Win10 Pro after Microsoft Store app purchase

Well that's a bit of a mystery to me. If this was a legit purchase, I suggest you call Microsoft and find out what the issue is. Something doesn't sound quite kosher here. Not saying you've done something wrong, but something doesn't seem right to me. And I've never bought an OS from the Microsoft Store, but I'd think you'd still be emailed a license key. You might also check your Microsoft Account to see if the key was posted somewhere there. Good luck.

 

Microsoft Introduces Online Store for the U.S.

Redmond-based Microsoft has quietly launched an online store today. It's real and comes without a big advertising campaign all over the world. Simply named Microsoft Store and previously available only in the UK, Germany and Korea, now the store invites all U.S. citizens to buy Microsoft products online too. The store has just started, and it offers an extended line-up of software and hardware products under the Microsoft brand. When it comes to software purchase, the store allows to either order the software and have it delivered to your doorstep, or directly download it after the moment of payment. Users who decide to take the digital download way will be permitted to re-download the product until the mainstream support for it end. Typically this is 5 years after the product is released. Also, you always have the option of copying the downloaded products to physical media if you want to have them available for as long as you need. The original product keys for all the digital downloaded software will be stored in your personal Microsoft Store Account alongside your purchase history so you can use it to re-install your software at any time. Microsoft to Open a Chain of Retail Stores for its Products

Software giant Microsoft is looking for another spot that will make the company's products more widespread than ever. It plans to open a chain of own retail stores that will sell all Microsoft software product including Windows and other applications as well as personal compuetrs running Windows operating system, cellphones running Windows Mobile OS and last but not least the company's Xbox videogame console. Microsoft has also appointed David Porter, a former Wal-Mart Stores executive, to lead the new initiative through its way up. Porter spent 25 years at Wal-Mart Stores in roles of increasing responsibility and seniority in store operations, merchandising and information technology. In his last role at Wal-Mart, Porter was vice president and general merchandise manager of Entertainment, where he served as a strategic point of influence throughout the Wal-Mart business. Porter’s first day at Microsoft as corporate vice president of Retail Stores will be Feb. 16, 2009.
"There are tremendous opportunities ahead for Microsoft to create a world-class shopping experience for our customers," Porter said. "I am excited about helping consumers make more informed decisions about their PC and software purchases, and we’ll share learnings from our stores with our existing retail and OEM partners that are critical to our success."
