Windows 10: How do I get the red circle alert on my Teams icon on the Taskbar

I get a red circle alert on my iPhone Teams icon with no problem. How come it doesn't work on Microsoft's own turf - my Windows 10 machine Taskbar Teams icon?

New Teams

Hi,

With regard to your concern, you can add a new team on Cortana by following the steps below:

• Click Cortana or the circle icon.
• Click the Notebook icon, scroll down and click Sports.
• Click Add a team and start typing the name of a team.
• Select the results.

Note: If the the team does not show up in the list you cannot add it to the Notebook. We suggest that you send a feedback using Windows Feedback hub so we can take note of this feature for future updates.

System Icons on taskbar

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Communities.

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.

Red circle with a x in it on my Documents icon?

Do you use OneDrive to back your documents up to the Cloud?

That red circle with an X indicates not all files in that folder have been synced to the Cloud . . .

If you hover your mouse pointer over the OneDrive icon on your Taskbar, you will be able to see what file(s) contained in that folder, that OneDrive is unable to sync . ..
