Windows 10: How do I get TPM 2.0 on a computer that I built myself?

I have the full version of Win 10 Home edition installed on a new PC that I recently built myself. When looking into a Win 11 upgrade, the PC Health Checking App tells me that TPM 2.0 must be supported and enabled & there is no TPM detected. Several help files that I have looked at, all say to get assistance from the PC's manufacturer for specific instructions. Since I am the manufacturer, I don't know where to begin. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Here is the basic info for my PC, if that matters : Motherboard - Gigabyte B45

Don't know if this is the right place for this thread but whatever, laptop informed me that " a firmware update is needed for you security processor (TPM)," now, i looked up what to do and from a microsoft support thing, the last step says to clear the tpm. it has a warning saying to back up my data, i would like to know what clearing the tpm does, and what measures i need to take to make sure nothing goes wrong.

Sounds like it was using the tpm to encrypt the main drive. Certainly not the norm. Also, the fact that you could not log in suggests the computer may be illegally repackaged or stolen.

I couldn't find "TPM" or "Trusted Platform Module" listed in any BIOS setting on 2 of my laptops. Got the mobo ID from system specs and did a bit of searching ... ah, there it is, not actually called that exactly, but same thing, and was disabled. Enabled ... booted up, ran tpm.msc. Bingo! Alive and well.

Your search engine will be your friend (one of mine even had a YouTube step-by-step how to access the BIOS, what to look for, etc).
