    How do I get Windows 10 (64) to recognize a Microtek 4800 scanner? Old but still works...


    How do I get Windows 10 (64) to recognize an old but fully functioning Microtek ScanMaker 4800? Microtek has not and will not update drivers. Is there a way or a work-around? It is as if both are loaded, but Windows 10 will not recognize the scanner.

    Trouble with scanners after upgrading to Windows 10

    I recently upgraded to Windows 10 (64 bit) but found my graphics programs (Microsoft PhotoDraw and Adobe Photoshop 7... yes I know they're old but I LIKE them) will not recognize my Epson 4180 nor my Microtek Scanmaker 9800XL scanners even though they
    are listed in my Windows devices. The programs themselves run fine but PhotoDraw says "No scanners found" and Adobe just locks up. Any suggestions!!??

    Microtek scanner on Win 10 Pro

    For the past few years I have been using ScanWizard to control my Microtek ScanMaker 4800 flatbed scanner on Windows XP. I upgraded systems recently (Win10 PRO 32bit OS,x64-based cpu) and I couldn't get ScanWizard to find the scanner. I found ViewScan
    9 X32 on the internet and with some magic got it to work. It found the MT4800 as a source and it worked.

    Now I forgot how to make ViewScan find MT4800 as a scanning source.

    Now it only finds the HP 2540 printer's scanner.

    Epson scanner V550 does not work in Windows 10

    I had similar problem with Microtek ScanMaker 4800 after upgrade to Windows 10 64bit. Installation of the Epson (!) driver "Epson Standard Scanner Type 1" solved my problem.
