    How do I halt the constant updating?


    Greetings, Fellow Users,For the past several days I've had to endure the inescapable Microsoft Updates, only this time it's not a one-stop process: it won't stop. The updates have been arriving at the rate of once every other day, and the reason for that is the system's inability to successfully download and install one specific cumulative update owing to an error message that informs me that the update has failed error: 0x8007312. Something apparently went wrong with the initial attempt at installing it and the system has been trying to correct the error with these recurring yet futile

    I have done the steps listed above. They have not helped and I am still getting constant script errors, along with slow loading pages. Are there any other suggestions?

    Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
