    How do I handle a Microsoft Defender 365 AV scan that has been pending for 2 days?


    Two days ago, I initiated a remote full scan on one of my devices in the environment, and it still hasn't completed, even though the device appears to be active. I can't submit a new scan because the previous one is still in progress, and the option to resubmit is greyed out. I'm not even sure if the scan is functioning at all. It seems like the device might not be receiving the command. Do you have any idea why this scan is taking so long?Also wanted to ask will Defender send remote scans to devices that are noncompliant? This device is noncompliant right now and I'm wondering if this is rela

    How to fix full av scan failure in Microsoft defender 365?

    I tried to run full AV scan Microsoft defender. I was waiting for 30 minutes and it was still showing scan pending then I closed and got to action centre and it said scan failed. Any idea how to fix this?

    Windows defender crash during scan

    might be malware! i had similar issue with defender and other Av..its bad ass malware..
    use anykind of av rescue disk and scan with that!!!

    Real-time protection: Handled by another AV program

    I did as you suggested, & found Malwarebytes to be listed, - which I thought had been removed. I removed it, & found that Windows Defender would still not turn on, citing - "Real-time protection: Handled by another AV program". I checked before sending
    this reply to you, & found that Malwarebytes is not now listed in Apps & features.
