Windows 10: How do I identify the specific program causing a CPU spike? Windows 11

I'm trying to identify the cause of a CPU spike to improve game performance. However, whatever problem is causing the lag is also lagging my computer to the extent that Task Manager won't open until the lag spike is over. After the lag spike, I can go onto Task Manager and see the lag spike, but not what's actually causing it, like this:I've tried using a program called Process Explorer, which I've been told shows me the program with the highest CPU usage in the System Information section. However, during lag spikes, despite CPU usage spiking to 70-ish, it tells me that the most intensive prog

Identify the cause of CPU Spike and crash

I am using a Dell 5490 AIO since May and I still haven't figure out the cause of CPU spike. Now, it is causing a lot of trouble because my PC hang twice in the past 4 days. I checked Event Viewer and it only shows the Event 10010 Skype timeout error after
the system crashed.

 

Bluetooth mouse causing CPU spike?

Hi, I've been having an on and off issue lately with CPU spikes seemingly causes by a Bluetooth mouse. The easiest way for me to cause the issue is to let the mouse sit for a minute with no input and then click or move the mouse, at which point a seemingly random service will suddenly spike in CPU usage causing Bluetooth to temporarily disconnect, the keyboard to delay input until the spike is over, and occasionally a beeping through the headphones. The services I've noticed in the spike include Antimalware Service Executable, Thrustmaster Update Service (which has since been uninstalled), and LightunfService (which appears to be tied to ASUS lighting software), but others have topped the list in Task Manager too. The mouse is a Steelseries Rival 3 and all drivers I can find for anything have been updated. Any ideas or tips?

 

sppsvc causes spike on cpu

I got a windows 11 22H2 Home edition(from OEM), i got an office 365 enterprise, but sppsvc always spike to 10-25% on my cpu which can cause heat for my laptop. Its really annoying, its not the first time i faced this issue, when i was using windows 10 on the same laptop as i am using today, sppsvc can spike to >20%. I mean, i got a real license, why this sppsvc always running high cpu. I see this problem occurs while idling, and i can hear the increasing sound of my laptop fan.
