    How do I increase the resolution of a laptop screen more than it supports?


    I have a laptop, which has a screen resolution of 1366x768, as most laptops have. Is there any way to increase it?

    Unable to increase the screen resolution

    Sir ,

    Recently I installed windows 10 pro on my laptop acer aspire 5738 having Intel gma 4500mhd. After the installation I am unable to increase resolution beyond 1024 x 768. My laptop supports resolution more than this in windows 8. Also I am not able to adjust
    the brightness level as well. Kindly guide me in this matter to increase the screen resolution as well as to enable brightness controls.

    To further assist you, we would like to know what is the make and model of your HD TV? We also suggest that you check if there's an option to change the resolution through your TV.

    You can also follow these steps on how to adjust screen resolution through Control Panel:

    • Open Control Panel, under Appearance and Personalization, click
      Adjust screen resolution.
    • Click the name of your HD TV, then click the drop down for Resolution.
