Windows 10: How do i increase Windows limit to remove apps error of "1024 sockets"?

Please kindly how exactly to increase the Windows 10 limit so the apps (in this case Python script) does not complain like: "OSError: cannot watch more than 1024 sockets"?

Error message "missing registry socket"

I realize this may be frustrating. Now that you have me with you, let me take care of this.

Winsock or Windows Sockets is a technical specification that defines how Windows network software should access network services.

Let us try the following steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: Perform a Winsock Reset

• Open the Windows Start Screen or Start Menu and type
  cmd in the search box.
• Right-click Command Prompt or cmd in the search results and select
  Run as Administrator.
• Type netsh winsock reset in the Command Prompt window and press
  Enter. Wait for Windows to finish resetting your Winsock configuration.
• Reboot your computer.

Increasing power limit without increasing clocks?

That is normal. Actual boost clocks are about 70 MHz higher than listed boost clocks. My 980 does the same, but increasing the power limit ONLY increases clocks if the card was throttling... you screenshot show that you haven't actually increased the power limit.

likewise with my 708 TIs and my 780. I have 780 TI reference, listed boost clock for my card is 928, but actual boost clock is 1020.

 

Windows 7 Starter Hardware Limitations Leaked, 3 App Limit Also Said to be Removed

As it was with Windows XP and Vista, Microsoft impose certain hardware limits to be able to install and use the most basic SKU of Windows, the Starter Edition.
