    Windows shows 15.9 of 32gb ram

    According to you, none of the RAM is QVL RAM.

    So I am to take out all the RAM and have a PC with no RAM and not be able to use it
    As started in Compatible memory with GIGABYTE B450 AORUS ELITE - Pangoly the RAM I have is compatible and in 4.5 years not one issue, until IO upgrade to 32GB. Not one issue when 32GB was installed. But the only issue showed when Windows was reinstalled.

    I even ask is that QVL complete? Seeing when I look it up, I get different results from different sources.

    The motherboard manufacturer cannot confirm if the ram is compatible. As well as no one knows why 16GB was zero issues for 4.5 years, As they say it is not compatible. It was only when I used the same ram to upgrade to 32GB and "latest windows update" then issues occured.

    Seeing most ram is not available anymore on that QVL list and would be buy ram, return, repeat until I get ram that is on that list and does work. Looks like I will have to replace the motherboard, just to upgrade to 32GB.

    16gb ram vs 32gb ram Upgrade

    I have 8gb and will be upgrading to 16gb ram. But then i saw how there is 32gb ram ... price is double that of 16gb ram.


    Now is there any point of upgrading a laptop to 32gb ram? Or its a complete waste? I mean i know i could always upgrade to 32gb ram in the future but if i do that, i could always get something for my 16gb ram selling it on ebay right?


    Someone mentioned since i have an old machine dell xps 15 9550 and 8gb ram... 16gb should be fine.
