Windows 10: How do I install the media pack on Win11 if it doesn't appear in the Optional Features list?

I am being told that my Win11 laptop does not have features that are required for me to do things that I need to do for school. I am further being told to install an optional media pack that has been excluded from more recent versions of Windows installs. Yet when I follow the instructions to add this pack through the system settings, it is not on the list where all the other optional features are. So I am now here, asking for help from the purported "experts", even though older requests for help with this issue by others were met with being told to do what everyone had already tried & is

This is Ramesh here (not Greg). Have you tried the DISM command-line method posted above to install Media Features Pack?

Hello, can anyone help me. My new computer is Windows 11 and when I follow all the steps to try to install Media Feature Pack, it will not appear in the list as available to install. I'm not sure what to do next.

Hi Greg, I tried what you suggested but it is exactly what I have tried in the past and the problem is that when you are trying to add an Optional Feature and go to View Features, the Media Feature Pack does not automatically appear in the list and if I type it in a search, it still does not appear. I am in Australia. Any help would still be very much appreciated. Thanks. Kim
