    How do I keep my Windows 10 laptop from locking?


    I've had my laptop for about 3 or so years, and I've always had it set so that it never fell asleep or locked itself, but recently it started to lock after about 10-15 minutes of inactivity. I've searched up ways to help, but each one I try always ends up already being set to never, or not working at all. I don't know whether my computer is just bugging from an update, or if I'm just following the online instructions wrong, but it's been annoying me for the past week or so and I would like for it to continue to not lock or sleep unless I shut it or make it do so myself.

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
