  1. How do I know that Xbox PC App has synchronised the saves, after I have closed a game ?

Once I close a game which was launched from the Xbox PC App, how do I know that the game, along with the saves , have been synchronised to the Xbox servers correctly ?Unlike Steam, I dont see a synchronisation progression when I close a game from the Xbox app.Same goes for games launched from Xbox Series S. Very rarely, I see a Synchronisation window when I launch a game, but it does not happen often. So, how do I know that Xbox PC App has synchronised the saves, after I have closed a game ?

  2. Xbox PC App Error

We appreciate your response and cooperation regarding this matter. Based on your reply, it appears that you need to enable the Xbox services to ensure that the app is up and running. You may follow the steps below to enable Xbox Live services:

    • Press the Start button and type Services on the search box.
    • On the list of services, look for Xbox Live Auth Manager,
Xbox Live Game Save, and Xbox Live Networking Service.

The next steps should be done to the three mentioned services above:

    • Right click on the service and select Properties.
    • Set the Startup type to Automatic. If the service isn't started, click
      Start.
    • Save the changes.
    • Launch the Xbox App and sign in to your account again.

Let us know if you are able to sign in after performing the suggested solutions above.

remove game data from xbox game in windows 10

I appreciate your reply. It seems that the game progress was saved to your Xbox account associated on your computer that's why you can't play the game from the beginning. I recommend that you remove the account on your computer by performing the following
    steps:

    1. Press the Windows icon, then select the gear icon to access Settings.
    2. Select Accounts.
    3. Under Email & app accounts, click the Microsoft account, then click Remove.

I also suggest that you reset the Xbox app on your computer so that we could ensure that no account is linked to it. To get started, kindly follow these steps:

    1. Press the Windows key, then select the gear icon to access Settings.
    2. Go to Apps.
    3. Under Apps & features, locate the Xbox app.
    4. Click the Xbox app, then select Advanced options.
    5. Click Reset.

Let us know if that works for you. We'd be glad to further assist you.

How do I stop Xbox app on PC from having to unpack games after already downloading them?

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

The "unpacking" process you're encountering after downloading a game via the Xbox app on PC is a step where the downloaded compressed game files are decompressed and installed on your system. This step is necessary because games are often downloaded in a compressed format to save bandwidth and speed up the download process. The unpacking process then requires an equivalent amount of space to the game size for the installation. Unfortunately, this process can sometimes appear to take as long as downloading the game itself depending on the size of the game and the speed of your PC's storage.

Here are a few suggestions to mitigate this issue:

    1. SSD Upgrade: If you're not already using a Solid State Drive (SSD) for your game installations, consider upgrading. SSDs significantly reduce the time it takes to unpack and install games compared to traditional Hard Disk Drives (HDDs).
    2. Ensure Enough Space: Make sure you have more than enough space on your installation drive. Lack of space can cause the unpacking process to slow down significantly as the system struggles to manage disk space.
    3. Close Background Applications: Close unnecessary applications running in the background. Unpacking is both disk and CPU intensive. Other applications can slow this process down.
    4. Reset the Xbox App: If the problem persists, try resetting the Xbox app. Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features, find the Xbox app, select Advanced options, and then click Reset.
    5. Reinstall the Xbox App: If resetting doesn't help, consider uninstalling and then reinstalling the Xbox app.
Unfortunately, there's no way to completely bypass the unpacking process as it is an essential step in the installation of downloaded games. However, by following the above tips, you can ensure that the process is as quick and smooth as possible.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

    Best regards
