Windows 10: How do I leave a family group after the "Something Went Wrong" response?

I have been invited to use a Microsoft 365 Family subscription, and I would like to do that. When I click Join Now, Microsoft tells me I need to leave my current family group before I can join a new one.When I follow the instructions on how to leave my current family group, I am given this message: Something went wrongWe’re having trouble and can’t remove Joe from your family group right now. Refresh or wait and try again.I have refreshed. I have waited. I have tried again. And it is still not letting me leave my current family group.I want to leave my current family group and join the new one

Family Organizer Leaving Family Group

• If Mother was the administrator of the Family Group, you can exit the Family Group directly, and Mother will automatically become the Family Group organizer.
  
  If you want to stay in the Family Group, you need to rejoin, either as an administrator or as a regular Family Group member.
  
  Visit Getting started with Microsoft Family Safety for more details.
  

• If Mother was already a member of the Family Group, you need to remove her from the Family Group, then add it again, and need to select "Administrator" when selecting the role.
  

Meanwhile, you can dissolve the Family Group, and then let the new organizer send an invitation to re-establish the Family Group. Visit Leave family group or remove members (microsoft.com) for more details.

Leaving or being removed from a family group will not delete Microsoft accounts. However, family groups without an organizer and at least one other family member will be deleted.

Last member (Adult) unable to leave Family group

Why not set up an admin account with documented password, add it to the family group? Then you can take your account out, and still have (or leave) an admin/family group access account available. Just a thought/suggestion...
