  1. How do I make a USB volume control device change the global machine volume when an RDC is...

I remotely connect to a server to use an application provided by a vendor. The application is best used in full screen, so I have the remote desktop connection window in full screen. I frequently need to adjust my USB headset volume. The way to do that is to use the headset's volume rocker. The problem is that this only changes the volume of the remote desktop audio. I need to be able to adjust the global machine volume while having the remote desktop connection window maximized. Restoring down, changing the headset audio, then maximizing really breaks my workflow. The other important thing to

Set Keyboard Volume Control Buttons to Control Global Volume?

I have a keyboard with its own built in speakers that I never have selected for output (I never use them). It also has volume control & mic mute keys, but the problem I'm having is that these keys do not affect my global output level. When I use the volume
up/down keys, a volume meter pops up, and I can control it, but it has no effect on the sound coming out of my computer (to a bluetooth speaker). I assume what it's controlling is the output to the keyboard's own speakers, but as I mentioned, I have no use
for these. In order to affect the global output level, I have to use the volume buttons on the side of my Surface Pro 3 (docked). Is there a way I can make these buttons do what my Surface Pro 3's volume buttons do - control global volume? It would be nice
to be able to mute or affect volume without reaching over to my Surface sitting in its dock. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!
