Windows 10: how do I make ctrl v paste instead of ctrl shift v?

I would like to make it so ctrl v pastes what's in my clipboard instead of changing it to a non-linked-hyperlink and/or changing my text to images. If I copy from onenote it adds an image of the text of what I copied along with the text, and if I copy an edge url it instead posts more like a text ad for the site instead lol. Please tell me how to make copy paste work like before windows 10.

1. Did you make any software changes to the computer prior to this issue?

2. “My CTRL+V does not work but everything else does?”, is this issue only with games? Are you able to use copy(Ctrl+C)/paste(Ctrl+V) in file explorer?

3. “CTRL+SHIFT+V works but it dose not work in games (what i need it for)”, Is this issue specific to one particular game or all the games?

Please be informed that you need to use the copy shortcut key i.e., ctrl+c before using the Ctrl+V. The ctrl+v doesn’t work if you haven’t copied a file/text/folder using the Ctrl+c.

You may please check in the game settings, if you have configured/assigned the shortcut key "CTRL+SHIFT+V".

1. I downloaded Games but that's it really.

2. I can use every CTRL+ command everywhere but not CTRL+V

(windows searches, on browsers) but those i can use CTRL+SHIFT+V but for games like (Minecraft) it dose not work

3. it also dose it to other games just not one specific

(CTRL+SHIFT+V only works sometimes but not in games)

 

When using Quora (Win10 MS Edge) using Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V to cut and paste into a reply or comment results in the display of the HTML assciated with the text. How do I get just text?

Using Web app Quora with WIn10 and MS Edge

When I use CTRL+C to cut text from any website and then use CTRL+V to insert it into my Quora reply/comment the associated HTML is also displayed.

The only way I can work around this is to

• Paste the cut into Notepad (CTRL+V)
• Recopy it (CTRL+C)
• Paste the new snippet into Quora (CTRL+V)

It appears from interaction with others on Quora that this is a MS Edge problem and the suggestion is I use Chrome instead.

I would prefer to use MS Edge

Any solution?

BTW It is a sad comment that the Category list below does not include MS Edge but only refers to Internet Explorer...
