Windows 10: How do I make file explorer work like normal again?

I saw my Seagate expansion drive twice and it annoyed me so I found an article to remove it, but I now causes this error, and I can't just click on the file explorer to open it anymore, instead I have to right-click it and select a folder to open it.most of my desktop icons have also stopped working.demonstration:I made a thing with steps recorder but there is not a way to put it on here that I know of, so I uploaded it to my google drive.https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EzaDn7C9Jkz-07CD8r9UCvZUCZ11zCyd/view?usp=sharingand fyi, I've already downloaded the files troubleshooter, but it did not w

I suggest you to unpin the File explorer from the task bar if it is pinned and re-pin the File Explorer check if issue is resolved. If issue persist, I suggest you to follow the below given steps and check if it helps:

I suggest you to run System file checker. System File checker (SFC) scan is done to check if there are any corrupted system files that could be causing this issue. Kindly follow the below given steps:

• Press Windows key + X, select
  Command prompt (Admin) to bring up elevated Command prompt.
• In Command prompt type sfc/scannow and press enter.
• Restart the computer.

If no corrupted system files were found in the previous state, then I suggest you to try the following steps:

• Open command prompt by pressing Windows key + X and selecting “Command prompt admin”.
• In command prompt, type the following commands and press Enter after each command:

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

3. Close the command prompt and restart the PC and check if it works.

File Explorer Search Not Working


I am trying to search in File Explorer (Windows Explorer, My Computer) and it will not find anything. I can copy text from a name in the list and paste it in the search box and it still finds nothing. I have looked at the suggestions that have been posted and nothing I find that is relative to this works. Anyone have any suggestions? I am running Win 10 Pro on an I3 coustom desktop computer.
