Discus and support how do i make it so the snipping tool automatically saves images? in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; im tired of having to go to the notification every single time, i want it to just automatically save into a folder, ive tried toggling the setting in...     how do i make it so the snipping tool automatically saves images?


    im tired of having to go to the notification every single time, i want it to just automatically save into a folder, ive tried toggling the setting in the snipping tool app but its not there.

    Please try this:

    Step 1:

    Click Start, and type Snipping Tool.

    Right-click Snipping Tool from the search results, and click App Settings

    Click Reset,

    Click Repair.

    Note: In Windows 11, there is no Snip and Sketch. It comes pre-installed with the new Snipping Tool (which replaces the old Snipping Tool and Snip & Sketch apps)

    Step 2:

    Turn off Focus assist if it's enabled

    Step 3:

    Open Services.msc and make sure that the following services are set to "Automatic" and running:

    • Windows Push Notifications System Service
    • Windows Push Notifications User Service

    Hi Heather,

    Snipping Tool has various options on how you can capture images in your computer. To change it to normal snipping, follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows + S to open Search Box.
    • Type Snipping Tool, then click it.
    • Click New.
    • Click the drop-down menu in New.
    • Select Rectangular Snip.

    Why can the snipping tool no longer save images?

    The Snipping Tool saves the images automatically to C:\Users\User\Pictures\Screenshots and screen recordings to C:\Users\User\Videos\Captures
