How do I make my volume control more sensitive in Windows 11?

Hi all,I am trying to make my volume control more sensitive. What I mean by this is, the difference between volume level 1 from 0-100 and volume level 0 is too much. I want the volume to be more sensitive. I've looked all over and I haven't found a solution that's reliable. Is there any way to do this in Windows 11?Thanks in advance.Example of "volume level 2".

    :)

  2. volume control error

    Hi Akash,

The issue with volume control could have happened due to the corrupted or outdated driver. To resolve your issue, we suggest that you follow the 2 methods below:

Method 1: Run the Audio Troubleshooter on the system.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Sound. We would suggest you run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Audio

    Refer these steps:

    • Press Windows key+X, select Control panel.
    • Change the view as an option on the top right to Large icons.
    • Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
    • Run the playing Audio troubleshooter

Method 2. Uninstall and reinstall the latest drivers from the manufacturer website.

Follow the steps to update the audio drivers:

    • Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.
    • Expand the Sound, Video and game controllers.
    • Right-click on the Sound card and click on Uninstall.
    • Install the latest audio driver from the manufacturer website.

Let us know the result for us to assist you further.

    Sensitivity settings for controllers

    Hi AdityaSingh7,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand how difficult it can be, when we cannot fully enjoy the features of the game. We can set the sensitivity of the game on Windows PC, only if you have
Elite controller which uses the software called
    Adjust trigger Sensitivity.

However, as a work around we can check if the following steps help you in reducing sensitivity of the game by resetting to defaults. I would request you to check the article on
Configure your Xbox 360 controller for Windows.

    1. Press Windows and
R key together on your Keyboard.
    2. Type joy.cpl
      and hit enter.
    3. Select the controller from the Game controller’s window and click on properties.
    4. Click on reset to default and check if the sensitivity is reduced.

Problem with volume control in Windows 11

    Dear MasonNZ,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community

Thank you for providing detailed information about the volume control issue you're experiencing with your Behringer UMC404HD sound card after a recent Windows update. It's clear you've already undertaken several troubleshooting steps to address the problem without success.

Based on your description, it appears that the issue is specifically related to how Windows 11 is handling volume control with your sound card, possibly due to changes introduced in recent updates. Since you've already tried clean reinstallation of Windows 11, reinstalling sound card drivers, and utilizing the Windows troubleshooter, additional troubleshooting steps may be necessary.

Here are some additional steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Check the Windows Update History for any specific updates that appear alongside the volume control issue. If possible, consider uninstalling these updates to see if they temporarily fix the problem until a permanent solution can be found. You can try uninstalling updates one by one to see if the problem goes away after uninstalling a particular update. Once you find any update that affects the volume control, you can work around it by hiding the update.

The method for hiding a specific update is as follows:

    • Download the Tool: First, you need to download the “Show or Hide Updates” tool. You can find it on the official Microsoft website.
    • Run the Tool: Once downloaded, double-click on the file to run it. This tool is a portable application, so you don’t need to install it.
    • Choose the Option: In the main window, click the “Next” button to continue. Since you want to hide the updates, click on the “Hide Updates” option.
    • Select the Updates: The application will now scan your system and list all the available updates. Select the checkbox next to the update you want to hide and click on the “Next” button.
    • Hide the Updates: The application will now hide the selected update automatically. Once hidden, you will see the “fixed” message on the next screen. Click on the “Close” button, and you are done.
If the above step didn't resolve the issue, it may be necessary to wait for further updates from Microsoft or Behringer that specifically address compatibility or functionality issues with Windows 11. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out for assistance.
