how do I make the mouse appear at the same position when moving it between monitors?

when moving the mouse between monitors my mouse will appear slightly lower on the left while slightly higher on the right monitor, I've posted the question a few other places, but everyone keeps giving me fixes that only work on windows 10 and are inaccessible to my knowledge on windows 11. the black spots above and below the display do not show on anything except screenshots. I will also get vague answers and when I ask them for more details they never respond, also cannot find anything online mostly due to the fact that I do not know how to explain the problem.

    :)

  2. Mouse will not move to or from monitor above main monitor

    I have 3 monitors

2 stacked on top of each other and one vertical to the side.

I can move my mouse from the lower monitor, to the side monitor then from the vertical monitor to the upper monitor.

But, I cannot just move my mouse up to the top monitor.

Nor can I move my mouse down from the top monitor to the bottom monitor.

This is how they are set up

how do I make the mouse appear at the same position when moving it between monitors? jMZD6Z9j3p4mn91Z7NJjEAsu3xCLNHlaOmYTU37VXo7RevB%2fLvpN8rlVtlnq9%2bZpPO70W8qktTrAcbdoW%2bFlw6U%3d.png

Moving monitor 1 to the side of 3, mouse can move into it from 3.

But when I move it back to the top I cannot move the mouse directly from 3 to 1 or vice versa.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

  3. Mouse enters the second monitor at different positions

The path of the mouse is defined by pixels, not by physical dimensions. This implies:

    • If your monitors have exactly the same vertical PPI, you can fiddle with the vertical alignment of the screens - either by physically moving them or by adapting the display layout in the control panel.
    • If your monitors do not have the exact same vertical PPI, there is no way to make the mouse transitions exact for all screen positions. You can though try to make them exact in the middle and so reduce the offset at the top or bottom.

Windows 10 External Monitor only :: How to set Portrait orientation?

    Thanks Elise,

I surmise the need for step recorder is not common enough to justify enabling the option for Intel driver.

Screen Capture Mouse Cursor position on External Monitor is why I create this post.

When it cannot capture Mouse Position, I use Steps Recorder but it records both Displays...

My Screen Capture is used for following:

    1. Power Automate Cloud
    2. Office 365
    3. communicate to Tech Support
Hoping Microsoft would add features to next version of

    1. Step Recorder
    2. Snip App(s)
    3. Windows Display setting
Assuming most users like me need

    1. Mouse cursor position captured by Snip App(s)
    2. External monitor, when used, is often
      1. to extend Display
      2. used for important task(s)
      3. App such as Office is on External Display
      4. Laptop monitor for secondary task(s)
      5. Step Recorder is to demo use of Single App, therefore External Monitor
      6. Portrait oriented for capturing web pages like Power Automate
    Kind Regards,
