Windows 10: How do I make the voice recorder pick up computer audio?

Wondering how I can make the voice recorded app on Windows pick up the sounds coming from my laptop? Reason being I need to record certain online meetings in the context of my job, but when I use the recorder app it only picks up my voice - not the sound coming from my computer. It seems to eliminate that sound likely on purpose, but hoping that can be turned off.

• Click View all.
• Select Recording Audio.
• Follow the steps to troubleshoot Recording Audio.

Voice recorder plays back comically fast in Windows 10

I have just bought a new Lenovo desk-top computer with Windows 10 installed.

I have tried to use the Voice Recorder App and it picks up my voice from a "Creative" external mike I transferred from my old computer and creates a voice file.

When I try and play back the file, it plays it at a much higher speed so the voice is higher pitched and comical.

I have already tried updating the audio drivers from the web without any change to the playback and have as a last resort installed the generic audio driver that comes with Windows. [Here’s how: in
Device Manager, right-click (or tap and hold) your audio driver >
Update driver software… > Browse my computer for driver software
> Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer, select
High Definition Audio Device, select Next, and follow the instructions to install it.]

The voice recording still plays back comically fast.

Now losing patience

Any suggestions?

 

Can’t hear audio while recording games or videos

We will need some more information to help you with the appropriate troubleshooting steps. Please reply with the following details:

• How are you recording the games or videos?
  
• When you say, “I can't hear anything” you are unable to get the in-game audio or your voice?
  
• What is the make and model of the computer?
  
• Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? To check type:
  winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
  Enter.
  

If you are using Game bar to record the games or videos, I suggest you to refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + I to open
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Gaming.
   
3. Click on Capture on the left pane.
   
4. Clear the check box for Record gaming audio only.
   
5. Follow the same steps for Broadcasting.
