Windows 10: How do I make the windows key available in gaming mode

I have this problem where gaming mode disables the windows key when optimizing a game for me, which I need while gaming, but I dont want to turn off gaming mode since it already lags really bad with gaming mode, i cant imagine what it would be without it, is there a way to make gaming mode not turn off the windows key, or some other technique i could use for doing that?

Hi,

Game Mode is automatically enabled to some games only. There are some games that require you to manually enable Game Mode before you can use this feature on your Windows 10 device.

To manually turn on Game Mode, you can follow the steps below:

• Press the Windows key on your keyboard + G.
• Select Settings.
• In the General tab, select the check box for Game Mode.

Games keep crashing on Windows 10.

I would like to inform that the games which were working in previous Operating System may or may not work in Windows 10 due to compatibility issues. I suggest you to check for the latest version of the games which are not working, check compatibility
with Windows 10 and install. If the latest version is not available or if the games are not compatible, suggest you to install the games in compatibility mode by following the steps provided below:

• 
  Download the setup files for the game nd save it on your local disk.
  
• 
  Right click on the setup file of the game and select
  “Properties”.
  
• 
  Select “Compatibility” Tab.
  
• 
  Place a check mark next to“Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list.
  
• 
  Let the game install and then check thefunctionality.

Windows 10 freezing up when playing games

In order to assist you in a better way please answer the below questions.

1. Does this happen with a particular game or every game?

I suggest you follow the below steps and check if helps:

• 
  Press Windows key + X and click on
  Device manager.
  
• 
  Expand Display Driver from the list.
  
• 
  Right click on the Graphic driver and select
  update driver software.
  

If the issue still persists, I suggest you to go to the manufacturer’s website of your graphic card and check for any updated drivers available there. If so, try to install them and check if it fix the issue.

If no updated drivers available then try installing the available drivers in compatibility mode.

Refer the steps:

• 
  Download the Drive from the manufacture’s website, Right click on the setup file and select Properties.
  
  
  
• 
  Click the compatibility tab, tick the box next to Run this program in compatibility mode for and select Windows.
