Windows 10: How do I make Win10 wait before connecting to Wifi?

Is there any way to make Windows 10 wait for me to sign in before it connects to Wifi? I've looked everywhere for an answer to this but I can't find anything.


At the moment it seems that the Wifi will connect before Windows has fully started up. (Wifi LED shows an active connection while still on the boot screen.)



I don't want do turn off auto-connect since I'm on a home network and my mum uses the same laptop but I would like it if Windows would wait until I've signed in and my antivirus has started before it connects.


I know it sounds like I'm just being paranoid since Windows 10 has several security measures in place but I'm just a bit over-cautious when it comes to online security since I've been hit by malware a few times in the past, even on Win10. You can't be too careful nowadays because as technology and security get more advanced, so do the hackers.

When will the wifi connectivity problems be solved?


OK, so the Windows 10 engineers bollixed up the wifi connectivity part of the operating system. Everybody knows that by now. It seems they are making some progress in resolving it. Now, instead of seeing "Secured, No Internet" on your list of wifi connections, you see "Connected, Secured" EXCEPT no webpages will load. So you really aren't connected. It does seem to be a step in the right direction. Does anybody know when they plan on a full and complete repair of this screw up of epic proportions?

 

Cannot connect to wifi with laptop

  Go to Network and Sharing Center.
  
• 
  At the right pane, click Change adapter settings.
  
• 
  Right click on your connection name (WiFi name) and Properties.
  
• 
  Click the Configure... button.
  
• 
  Go to Power Management tab.
  
• 
  Uncheck/disable the radio button for "Allow this device to turn off this device to save power".
  
• 
  Restart the PC (Important)

Windows 10 wifi icon shows not connected - connections available - but internet works fine?
