Windows 11 allows fingerprint sign-in regardless of the last sign-in method by default, but requires additional input to allow pin sign-in if another method was last used. How do I change this?For clarity, I'm using a laptop, and it has a fingerprint reader, which I use when I'm using it in laptop 'mode.' However, I do not use laptop mode when I am using it at a desk at home, as I have a better keyboard that I prefer to use. I suggest you to follow the below steps to remove the sign in pin/password options.

• In the search box type sign-in-option.
• Click on the sign-in-option.
• Then you can find password/pin/picture password.
• There you can remove the option and check.

Fingerprint sign-in as default option on Windows 11

I just upgraded to Windows 11. When I sign-in, I am asked to enter my PIN. In order to use fingerprint, I have to select "sign-in options" and click on the fingerprint. I have restarted the computer numerous times, and each time I am asked to enter my PIN and have to go through this extra step to use my fingerprint to sign-in. How do I get my fingerprint as the default option to sign-in as I had using Windows 10.

• Have you tried resetting your PIN?
• Did you get any error messages after you verified the PIN you entered?
