  1. How do I move my Win10 Pro from my dying notebook over to my newer i7 laptop with Win10 Home?

My old Toshiba notebook was sold with Win 7 Home, which I used a special package to upgrade it to a Win7 Pro. The Pro stuck with me through the Win 8, Win 8.1 and Win 10 upgrades. However, the notebook has bogged down incredibly under the weight of all of the Win 10 updates, especially after the 1909 feature update.

So, instead of letting my Win 10 Pro registration go to waste, I'd like to swap the activation keys between the old notebook and the newer i7 so the more powerful unit gets the benefits of the Pro features and the old notebook might benefit from less overhead.

One problem is that the activation codes were handled internally by MS during the transition from 7/8/8.1/10 on the notebook and 8/8.1/10 on the newer unit.

All this makes me wonder if MS Windows support could simply switch the activation codes on its end so that my newer unit can take on the new features. Would this be possible?

    :)

  4. How do I move my Win10 Pro from my dying notebook over to my newer i7 laptop with Win10 Home?

Win10 installer reports that my i7-3630 processor is not compatable with Win10!

This is a ASUS K55A laptop with a i7-3630 processor and 8M of memory.

When I try to install Win10 the installer reports that Win10 is not compatible with my CPU.

The intent is to replace the existing Win7 Pro installed within a VB on the laptop which in powered by Linux Mint 17.3

Anyone have a clue what's wrong?
