Windows 10: How do I move system folders back onto the C Drive

To whom it may concern,


I've currently got 2 windows system folders on my D drive and would like them back on my C drive. I assume they were automatically put onto my D drive due to the C being full up. I have since then deleted a bunch of files and would like them back where they belong, however moving them causes a pop up to come up which states "Your organisiation does not allow you to place files here".

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

  Press Windows +E,
  
• 
  Right click on C: drive.
  
• 
  Select Sharing Tab.
  
• 
  Click on Advanced Sharing.
  
• 
  Uncheck “Share this folder”.

How to remove Unwanted folders on system drive (C)

I recently installed the free Windows 10 Home upgrade on my 250GB SSD system drive (C). The upgraded computer is a Toshiba QosmioX70-A. I've had a number of Windows updates to the O/S since the upgrade. I've noticed that there are a few folders on my
system drive that I would like to delete. I cannot delete these folders because they each prompt that I need administrative permission. I've checked my permissions and each group (Administrator; Users; ) are at FULL permission. The folders
in question that I would like to delete are: ($RECYCLE.BIN); ($WINDOWS.~BT); (Windows.old). Can the community suggest how I can rid my SSD system drive of these folders? Thank you.

 

How do I move photos from the my photo app to the pictures folder on the C drive?

  Open Photo App.
  
• 
  Select the photo and right click on the photo.
  
• 
  Select Open Folder.
  
• 
  From there you will be able to copy all the photos to C: drive
