  1. How do I permanently block this Authenticator nonsense forever?

Authenticator = technological paralysis. It is the single most obstructionist and unintuitive productivity waster that keep me going through infinite loops of scanning QR codes that never appear and providing 2 digit codes to enter - but no place to enter them.Called tech support and they put me into another infinite loop cycle. Must be a Musk/X-AI design feature.

  2. Why is the Microsoft Authenticator nonsense absolute rubbish that makes no sense?

Why is the Microsoft Authenticator nonsense absolute rubbish that makes no sense? It asks me to have the authenticator app on my phone yet I already do. It then asks me to verify using the app but does absolutely nothing. No codes are given and there are zero prompts. Nothing goes to my email addresses (any of them). It is ABSOLUTELY USELESS.

  3. How can I permanently disable windows defender FOREVER(not temporarily)???

Thanks for reaching out! I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you.

To permanently disable Windows Defender on your Windows machine, you can use one of the following methods: using the Registry Editor or the Group Policy Editor, depending on your version of Windows. Here are the steps for both methods:

Method 1: Using the Registry Editor (For Windows Home and Pro)

    1. Open the Registry Editor:
      • Press Windows + R, type regedit, and press Enter.
      • Confirm any prompts to open the Registry Editor.
    2. Navigate to the Windows Defender Key:
      • Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender.
    3. Create a New DWORD Value:
      • Right-click on the Windows Defender folder, select New, and then DWORD (32-bit) Value.
      • Name the new value DisableAntiSpyware.
    4. Set the Value:
      • Double-click on DisableAntiSpyware and set its value to 1.
      • Click OK to save the changes.
    5. Restart Your Computer:
      • Restart your computer to apply the changes. Windows Defender should now be permanently disabled.
Method 2: Using the Group Policy Editor (For Windows Pro and Enterprise)

    1. Open the Group Policy Editor:
      • Press Windows + R, type gpedit.msc, and press Enter.
    2. Navigate to Windows Defender Settings:
      • Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Microsoft Defender Antivirus.
    3. Disable Microsoft Defender Antivirus:
      • Double-click on Turn off Microsoft Defender Antivirus.
      • Select Enabled and click Apply, then OK.
    4. Restart Your Computer:
      • Restart your computer to apply the changes. Windows Defender should now be permanently disabled.
Additional Steps to Ensure Permanent Disabling

    • Disable Tamper Protection:
      • Open Windows Security from the Start menu.
      • Go to Virus & threat protection > Manage settings.
      • Turn off Tamper Protection.
Please do let me know if the method I suggested works for you or if you need further assistance.

  4. Try3 Win User

How do I permanently block this Authenticator nonsense forever?

Can I safely remove Administrators, Authenticated Users, System, Users

Make a system image then try it and see how it behaves. Given that you are so safety conscious that you blocked out part of your computer name in your diagram, why are you even considering this extraordinary step? In other words, what benefit do you hope to gain? If this is something about setting up a home network then I'd suggest, at most, sharing your C:\Users\YourUserName folder instead of the whole drive. All the best, Denis
