    How do I plug in a camera and get the software to load?


    I take pictures with Canon cameras. I process pictures with Photoshop. Ever since Windows XP, when I plugged in a camera, DSLR or point and shoot, the appropriate Canon software would load automatically to transfer the images. When I closed that software, the Canon Zoombrowser software would open automatically. Settings in each software provide for that.Now, searching "Device settings" sends me to something "for developers." "Camera settings" refer specifically to webcams and facial ID. "Devices" sends me to Bing where I can purchase third party software. I found the connected devices wi

    I'm gonna step out here and say that free suggestions, for a christmas gift, are not a good idea. OP wants to buy the kid as gift, not pawn off a free alternative he could do any day.


    Please feel free to correct me if wrong, Asylum.


    Oh, and Sony Vegas offers multi-stream editing, so say you have 3 camera angles, you can load them all up, and very easily switch between stream, while retaining audio from only one, or from all comeras...pretty good software, iMHO.

    Windows 11: Plugging in a USB Camera resets Bluetooth volume to nominal.

    I am aware of the present situation is that Your Windows 11 plugged into a Logitech camera (USB camera) will reset the Bluetooth volume. As this may involve a third-party hardware driver, could you please provide some details?



    • Whether the current Logitech camera have some USB drivers loaded on the current computer?
    • As a test environment, please try plugging the device in with another USB device and see if the Bluetooth volume resets or not?
    • Assuming that the other USB device does not affect your Bluetooth volume when plugged in, then we need to trace the reason back to the Logitech camera itself. Technically speaking, the Bluetooth connection is also via the USB protocol, I would suggest you contact Logitech's official support and ask if anyone else has recently reported the same problem, if so please try to contact Logitech for a more compatible driver.

    camera doesn't work in camera app but does in other software

    I don't know how you unistalled the Camera app but just a suggestion here. PowerShell (admin) and run

    get-appxpackage *camera* | remove-appxpackage

    Then reboot and reinstall from Store.

    If that fails then use something like Geek Uninstaller free to remove it and reboot and reinstall.

    Edit -make an image to fall back on before the changes.
