Windows 10: How do I prevent Appledouble files & folders from showing in File Explorer?

There are a couple of users in our company who use Macbooks. Since all of our files are stored in Dropbox, if either of the Mac users access files or folders there, their OS creates "Appledouble" file and folder entries prefixed with "._".I know the reasons why these entries are created, but what I cannot understand is that these did not always show in Windows, so something must have changed there.These entries really cause unwanted clutter, so I'd like to be able to hide them, obviously without having to set the properties of every single entity individually.I'd also like to avoid having to

Generating a .txt based file list in Windows 7

I want to be able to generate a .txt file that lists all the files and folders in a specific folder on my PC, but don't know the name of any programs that do that. Searched on google a bit and came up with this guide, but it's for XP and I can't seem to find some of the folder options to modify the .bat file. Any suggestions? Thanks

EDIT: The .bat file will do what I want if it is in the folder I want to do it in, but the option I want to add is having the right click option that it shows.

 

Expanding folders in file explorer

In answer to your query, yes, there's an option to change the Folder View Options of your File Explorer. To do so, follow these steps:

• Open File Explorer.
• Click File tab.
• Select Change folder and search options.
• Click View tab.
• Under Advanced settings, scroll down to Navigation pane.
• Check Expand to open folder, Show all folders, and
  Show libraries.

You can also check all the options, and set it up the way you wanted.

Files remain in original folder after moving them to new folder in file explorer

The issue that you’ve encountered regarding the File Explorer may be caused by some configuration or files mismatched. To sort out your concern, we suggest that you reset the folder settings from the
Folder Options. This will reboot the folder’s preferences to its default state and remove any possible software conflict. To do this, you may follow these steps:

• Click Start, type File Explorer, and press
  Enter.
• On the File Explorer window, click the View tab > Options > Change folder and search options > View.
• Under the Folder views section, click Reset Folders, and then select
  Yes to confirm.
• Once you’re done, click OK, and then check if the issue persists.

Note: This process will remove the list of files that you recently opened.
