  1. How do I prevent this security hole?

Windows 11 prevented me from completing installation until I gave it a PIN. That's a bad idea, since that bypasses the username/password requirement to log in to this organization's equipment, so I need to remove it. How is this accomplished? Also, please don't try to justify the PIN, whatever reason you think you have is already one-upped by the fact you just asked me to create a 6 character password. Thanks!

    :)

Cortana pop on the hole screen

Appreciate the response. For the meantime, if Cortana is causing any inconvenience with you or your system, we suggest reverting back to the old 1607 update. Just follow the steps below:

    • Open Settings window.
    • Click Update and Security, Recovery.
    • Select Get Started, under Go back.
This will put your system back to the old Windows build. Let us know if you need further assistance.

  3. Clear "Text Suggestions" cache for Hardware Keyboard - Security hole

I've just been upgraded to Windows 10 (May edition) from Windows 7.

Having switched on "Show text suggestions" under Typing > Hardware keyboard I have found what I consider a potential security hole.

At some point during setup I must have missed a tab when entering a User Name / Password into a UAC pop-up.

Not normally a problem, except that Text Suggestions now suggests "UsernamePassword" as an autofill option when I get a UAC pop-up.

I've plugged the hole for the moment by turning Text Suggestions off. but there are two issues

    1) Is there any way, other than reimaging my machine, to clear the cached suggestions?

    2) Why the heck is Windows harvesting any details from a UAC dialog?

    Can anyone help?

    Black Holes

New research reveals hundreds of black holes hiding in NGC 6101
    • Computer simulations of a spherical collection of stars known as NGC 6101 reveal that it contains hundreds of black holes, until now thought impossible
    • Recent observations already found black hole candidates in similar systems, with this research enabling astrophysicists to map black holes in other clusters
    • These systems could be the cradle of gravitational wave emission, 'ripples' in the fabric of spacetime
