    How do I prevent updates to Windows 10 from Microsoft that I do not want, such as Nov. 10...


    I do not want the changes Microsoft is making to my Notebook, specifically the ones being forced on me on November. I talked to a tech person at Microsoft and he told me I do not have enough space on my machine for the updates. I didn't need more until Microsoft forced changes I do not want. This is not what I bought at the store and I do not want their changes that they call improvements. I paid for this equipment and I should decide what goes on it. Not Microsoft. Please tell me how to block their changes. Thank you. Kim

    Microsoft to make Windows 10 updates mandatory

    Well, at the moment at least, you can choose to defer upgrades. Under Settings > Windows Updates > Advanced options you need to check the box labeled "Defer upgrades". What does that do? Good question. The answer I've found might illuminate it to a degree.

    I hear this only applies to Pro and Enterprise editions. But I can't verify that.
