    Print "selection"

There is at least one (sad) work-around -

    • Copy the selection to the clipboard.
    • Open the Win10 app "OneNote" (seems to replace the old NotePad utility).
    • Paste from the clipboard to the OneNote page.
    • Print from OneNote.
I certainly agree that the old Print Selection needs to be restored!

Printing directory of C from notepad

I followed instructions on https://www.howtogeek.com/98064/how-to-print-or-save-a-directory-listing-to-a-file/ which tells you to:

    Using the Command Line

Printing or saving a directory listing using the command line is an easy, straightforward process. First, there is an easy way to

open a command window to a specific directory
. In Windows Explorer, navigate to the directory for which you want to print or save the listing. Press the Shift key while right-clicking on the directory. Select Open command
window here from the popup menu.

At the command prompt, type the following command and press Enter.

So I did all that. Went to File/Print in Notepad, and got the message I told you about.
