Windows 10: How do I program my Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard button 1 for ALT+PRINT SCREEN command?

I do not want the print screen, just the ALT Print screen which will only copy only the image of the active window.

Map Microsoft 4000 ergonomic keyboard favorite buttons (1-5) to keystroke combination

I am using the microsoft 4000 ergonomic keyboard that comes with a set of 5 "my favorites" buttons at the top that you can map to favorite applications.

However, what I want to do is have it map to specific keystroke combinations instead.

i.e. when I press the "1" button, I want it to translate to Shift+CTRL+ALT+1

However, when I open the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center app, it only allows me to map it to a file, not a keystroke combination.

 

Issues with Surface Ergonomic Keyboard

To isolate the concern, is your computer also freezing when you're not using the new keyboard? This is for us to know if the issue is being caused by the keyboard or a program on your computer.

In the meantime, kindly uninstall the Surface Ergonomic Keyboard drive, and then re-install it. To do this, follow the steps below:

• (Make sure the Surface Ergonomic Keyboard is connected) Right click the Start button.
• Click Device Manager.
• Expand Keyboards.
• Look for the driver of the Surface Ergonomic Keyboard. Right click the Surface Ergonomic Keyboard driver, and the choose,
  Uninstall.
• On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the
  Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.
• After deleting the driver, visit this
  link and download the driver software.
• After downloading the driver software, run it to install.
• After installing the driver, restart your computer.
• After restarting, observe if your computer will freeze after waking up the Surface Ergonomic Keyboard.

Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard "ALT" key not working

After buying a Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard some time ago and rarely using it for the past few years (less than 24hours of time using it), when attempting to bring it out to do some small work, I noted the ALT key no longer works.

I used the Keyboard Test Online and did confirm my ALT key when pressed, is not received by my PC.

I plugged my Bluetooth USB (provided with keyboard) into another laptop and can confirm the ALT key still does not function.

I have pondered trying to pry key from keyboard and check underlying mechanics are ok, but am unsure how I can take key out without damaging key or keyboard.

As keyboard is a few years old already (despite minimal use), warranty and support is not available from Amazon UK.

Can someone provide suggestion on how I can troubleshoot the "ALT" key on the keyboard.
