Windows 10: how do I project my TV screen to my laptop windows 10

I want to project my TV screen to my laptop windows 10 in order to watch live TV. I am successful in the reverse with an HDMI cable and can see my computer screen on the TV.I need actual steps in detail

Windows 11 Projecting to TV Screen

I have downloaded windows 11 and having issues projecting my laptop to a Smart TV. I go through the steps to add the device and am able to project my laptop screen at that time. The issue begins when I want to do it the next time. The only way that I can get it to work, is to remove the device (TV) from my list of devices then re-add it every time I want to project to the TV. There has to be a better way to do this but it is all that has worked for me.

3. Were you able to project the laptop screen to TV earlier?
