Windows 10: How do I put my printer back online.

Have Windows 8.1 and know that I no longer get Microsoft or Windows Security Support. My printer stopped working so I troubleshoot it but can't find any issues with it. My question is that I put the printer offline and don't know how I did this. How or where do I go to put it back online. If anyone in the community replies, then please keep it simple. Okay then, will wait and see. People tell me that I'm now 79, but numbers have never really mattered to me. Don't feel old, don't look old, don't act old. To be sure that you followed my suggestion correctly, I will specify some steps:
CP>devices and printers>add a printer>the printer that I want isn't listed>add a local printer with manual settings>define port>Windows update and install

What and all steps have you tried so far?

Restart the computer and check.

Also, check for Windows updates.

I suggest you to run the Printer Troubleshooter and check if it helps.

• Type Devices and Printers and then tap or click Devices and Printers.
• Press and hold or right-click the printer you want to use, and then tap or click
  Set as default printer.
