Windows 10: How do I reactive the digital microphone on my HP Pavilion laptop which runs Windows 11?

I have tried a number of ways to update the driver in Windows device manager but none have worked so far. Norton Driver Updater has provided drivers but they have not worked. HP hardware check says the digital microphone works but is switched off.

Is the icon on the front of your machine a headphone icon:





or a headset icon:





If it's a headset icon, you may be able to use a dual 3 zone to 4 zone adapter:

It appears to be a headset icon. So it could work but I need an adatper. What about the ports on the back? Can headphone be plugged into audio "line out" (port 6) and microphone into port 7 (refer to image above)

 

I can not format laptop HP Pavilion 15t-eg0000 from external bootable

I have some issue on the windows of my new laptop. I downloaded WIN 10 iso file from Microsoft website then attached to the external USB via RUFUS app. The USB is bootable and recognized by the laptop but the local drive is not showing on the list of the drive. Is this a new security step on the BIOS? Please help me to sort out this issue.
