I've been experiencing crashes while I'm gaming and I can't figure out why. Looking up the events I find in Event Viewer on Google or googling the Realiability History's critical errors just leads me to forum posts where other people who can't diagnose these issues by themselves flock, and most of the times, the issues are so system specific that the troubleshooting tips people give aren't relevant to my own issue. I followed different advice from forums, such as reinstalling Windows all together, disabling SecureBoot and Updating my Bios. The problem persisted. Looking through pc monitoring

    all games crash!

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

    Diagnosing PC Crash

    Hi,

I did a hard reset of my laptop after it began to crash when I tried to log in. It didn’t help the issue but everything seemed to be working smoothly after I went into Safe Mode. I then proceeded to go through the non-Windows apps in the msconfig command
prompt and it looked like unchecking some of those programs made my laptop function normally in its regular mode. When I went to re-download Google Chrome in regular mode, my laptop froze again and I woukd get a black screen when I restarted it. I did the
steps to turn it off then on (then off and on, etc.) to get to the Advanced Options screen but now its been stuck on “Diagnosing your PC” for quite a while. I’ve gone through this process several times and I’ve been able to find a way around this before but
I can’t seem to find a fix this time because I get a black screen with a loading cursor when I try to start it normally. Is there any way to resolve this problem? Thanks.
