Windows 10: How do I reboot normally from clean boot mode when Windows won't boot?

I was advised to restart my laptop using clean boot mode using the system config tool in Windows 10 so I could get a Dell diagnostic tool to run properly. I duly restarted as advised with minimal drivers/devices and the Dell boot screen displayed as usual but Windows would not boot and all I got was a black screen with the progress circle going round and round ad infinitum. I have limited knowledge of command prompt but managed to enter WindowsRE and to check that the OS volume is still there on drive C: and to run CHKDSK on it and all seems ok, however, the cmd prompt window opens in drive X:

• What error do you get when you try to boot in normal mode?
• Did you entered Safe mode through Windows Recovery Environment or through System Config?

I suggest you to try the below given steps and check if it works:

• Press Windows key + R and type msconfig and hit enter.
  
• On the General tab, tap or click the Normal Startup option.
• On the Boot tab, uncheck all the option under Safe mode.
• Tap or click OK, when you are prompted to restart the computer, tap or click Restart.

Help, Vista Won't Boot?

do you have an hdd that doesn't have important files or is in the raid?

basically what i would do(im a complete n00b at grub and stuff so this probably gonna be a much more painful solution then what someone experienced would suggest) is take ubuntu(grab solaris dvd 3.0 tommorow or download ubuntu from ubuntu.com and burn it) and load ubuntu (by selecting it in solaris dvd 3.0 or selecting the first start option in the ubuntu cd) and go to install(right on the desktop) and install it on another hdd or partition, and it'll replace the bootloader on the boot drive and once ubuntu is done installing, select restart (or you have the option to wait and reboot manually if you want to finish up looking at historyless porn) , and when you reboot, it'll have like 4 linux options (ubuntu, ubuntu safe mode, memtest, and somthing else) and then it should list windows vista as one of the boot choices, and then it'll load vista..

also you can edit the grub file to remove the ubuntu options that you'll never use, change the default os in the list to vista and change the waiting time. edit...

 

Windows rebooting on logo after new motherboard/cpu

I was getting ready to suggest the same thing. Boot into safe mode and uninstall all the for everything. I would even go as far as going into device manger and cleaning everything out that is motherboard and cpu related. The reboot and let windows find what it can and install the drivers.
